If you are 50 to 75 years of age, check regularly for colon cancer. If you are less than 50 years old and think you may be at high risk of colon cancer or if you are over 75 years of age, ask your doctor if you need to study.
Be physically active.
Maintain a healthy weight.
Do not drink too much alcohol.
Do not smoke.
Among cancer, which affects both men and women, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Each year about 140,000 Americans receive colorectal cancer and more than 50,000 people die of it.
